from nothing, something

Bringing together numerous lengths of the cardboard bottle packaging tendrils would form an interactive sculpture letting the spectator walk through the hanging structures like a forest.

The video shows how the interactive element would be an exciting and engaging experience for an audience both visually and haptically, fostering a connection to personal experience. Navigating a way through the pieces and exploring the space through presence and absence.
The Deleuzian idea of becoming something that emerges from nothing is the essence of what I want to portray, the unfettered materiality given free rein to be itself. This kind of transient art relies on the encounters it faces in the surrounding environment but also on the viewers willingness to see beyond the banal and look at its impactful participation in the space it finds itself.
